About This Role
The Dean Trust is looking to hire a passionate and skilled **Teacher of Maths** to become a part of our committed team at **Dean Trust Ardwick**.
The primary objective of this position is to teach Maths across the entire age and ability spectrum.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- To comprehend, promote, and act in alignment with the School’s vision, values, and core mission.
- To design lesson plans that facilitate progression in students’ learning.
- To establish and uphold high standards for student behavior, maintaining discipline through focused teaching and fostering positive, productive relationships.
- To employ a variety of teaching techniques, including ICT, that sustain student engagement and momentum in their work.
- To utilize assessment information effectively to inform planning and enhance student progress.
- To assess and track students’ classwork and homework meticulously, providing constructive verbal and written feedback, while setting relevant targets to maximize their advancement.
- To create, evaluate, and revise schemes of work across all Key Stages.
- To be knowledgeable about statutory assessment and reporting requirements, preparing and delivering information reports to parents.
- To understand the Code of Practice related to the identification and assessment of Special Educational Needs, and as needed, implement and maintain records of Individual Education Plans for students.
- To critically assess one's own teaching and use this reflection to enhance effectiveness.
- To actively participate in meetings and parent progress evenings as required.
- To engage in activities outlined in the Faculty Improvement Plan.
- To fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a form tutor.
- To assist in the planning and execution of broader curricular activities.
