We are looking for a highly qualified and skilled Chemistry Teacher to join our team in August 2026.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons in alignment with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula.
- Craft and execute dynamic lessons tailored to a variety of learning styles, utilizing contemporary teaching strategies, hands-on laboratory experiments, and technology.
- Evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, upholding high academic standards.
- Provide pastoral care, enhancing student well-being and collaborating with the school’s well-being team.
- Encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities, cultural events, and science-related enrichment initiatives.
- Participate in curriculum development and initiatives aimed at enhancing school performance.
- Create a positive classroom environment with high expectations for behavior and discipline.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and facilitate professional growth.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and stakeholders regarding student progress.
- Stay updated on educational advancements and engage in ongoing professional development.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A degree in Chemistry or a closely related field, along with a valid teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Chemistry, ideally with knowledge of the IB curriculum (IBDP) or other international programs.
- The ability to motivate and engage students, fostering a passion for scientific inquiry, experimentation, and problem-solving in chemistry.
- Strong skills in differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Experience using technology, conducting laboratory investigations, and implementing innovative teaching methods to enhance learning.
- A dedication to continuous professional development.
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.
