All staff members play a vital role in the pastoral care of the school, supporting students in reaching their academic potential while fostering essential social skills. This role also allows for participation in co-curricular clubs and enrichment activities.

We are looking for a highly qualified and skilled Chemistry Teacher to join our team in August 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons in alignment with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula.
• Craft and execute dynamic lessons tailored to a variety of learning styles, utilizing contemporary teaching strategies, hands-on laboratory experiments, and technology.
• Evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, upholding high academic standards.
• Provide pastoral care, enhancing student well-being and collaborating with the school’s well-being team.
• Encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities, cultural events, and science-related enrichment initiatives.
• Participate in curriculum development and initiatives aimed at enhancing school performance.
• Create a positive classroom environment with high expectations for behavior and discipline.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and facilitate professional growth.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and stakeholders regarding student progress.
• Stay updated on educational advancements and engage in ongoing professional development.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A degree in Chemistry or a closely related field, along with a valid teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Chemistry, ideally with knowledge of the IB curriculum (IBDP) or other international programs.
• The ability to motivate and engage students, fostering a passion for scientific inquiry, experimentation, and problem-solving in chemistry.
• Strong skills in differentiating instruction for diverse learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Experience using technology, conducting laboratory investigations, and implementing innovative teaching methods to enhance learning.
• A dedication to continuous professional development.
• A thorough understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.
