We are seeking a dedicated and effective Biology Teacher to provide exceptional science education within the Senior School. The ideal candidate will design engaging Biology lessons that promote scientific inquiry, foster a deep understanding of concepts, and lead to strong academic performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Deliver well-structured and engaging Biology lessons that align with the Cambridge curriculum and the school’s academic standards.
•
Promote scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and practical laboratory skills through high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
•
Effectively assess, monitor, and report on student progress, ensuring the maintenance of high academic standards.
•
Contribute to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of schemes of work, resources, and assessment strategies.
•
Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to strengthen pedagogical practices and support ongoing professional development.
•
Employ inclusive teaching strategies that address the diverse abilities of students, including those with varying learning needs.
•
Enhance the science co-curricular program through clubs, competitions, field trips, and other enrichment activities.
•
Support the pastoral care of students, fostering wellbeing, resilience, and a love for scientific learning.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
•
A recognized teaching qualification and a degree in Biology or a closely related scientific discipline.
•
Considerable experience teaching Biology, preferably within an international school or in a Cambridge curriculum environment.
•
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for inspiring students to understand and appreciate the living world.
•
Outstanding organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
•
A reflective and innovative mindset, with a dedication to continuous professional development.
•
Experience with Cambridge programs or international curricula is highly desirable.
