GEMS International School, Al Khail is currently inviting applications for qualified Spanish Teachers, with positions set to commence in August 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons that ignite curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and instill a love for learning.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that recognizes individual strengths and accommodates diverse learning styles.
• Modify instructional approaches to meet the unique needs of all students, including those who are EAL, gifted, or need extra support.
• Utilize technology and innovative strategies to enhance student engagement and improve the learning experience.
• Assess, document, and effectively communicate student progress, using data to inform instruction and tailored support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum plans, resources, and assessments in accordance with IB standards.
• Engage with the wider school community through co-curricular activities, events, and initiatives that enrich the community.
• Build strong relationships with parents and the broader school community to support student growth and wellbeing.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and self-reflection to enhance teaching practices.
• Exemplify the GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile in all facets of school life.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognized professional teaching qualification at the degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or an equivalent qualification in Spanish.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant and verifiable experience teaching Secondary Spanish, ideally in an IB Curriculum School (though this is not essential).
• Familiarity with MYP and DP is beneficial but not required.
• A passion for inspiring young learners through innovative and inquiry-driven educational methodologies.
• The vision, enthusiasm, dedication, and educational philosophy necessary to contribute to the success of a premier GEMS institution with an international student body.
• A commitment to professional development and collaboration within a progressive educational community.
