GEMS International School, Al Khail is currently inviting applications for experienced SENCO Teachers, with positions available starting August 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging, inquiry-driven lessons that spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and foster a love for learning.
- Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that recognizes and nurtures individual talents and learning preferences.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the diverse needs of all students, including those with English as an Additional Language (EAL), gifted learners, and those needing extra support.
- Utilize technology and innovative strategies to enrich student learning and engagement.
- Assess, document, and communicate student progress clearly, leveraging data to guide teaching and personalized assistance.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance IB-aligned curriculum plans, materials, and assessments.
- Participate in the broader school community through co-curricular activities, events, and local initiatives.
- Foster strong relationships with parents and the wider community to promote student growth and wellbeing.
- Engage in continuous professional development and self-reflection to refine teaching practices.
- Embody the GEMS values and the principles of the IB Learner Profile in every facet of school life.
