Secondary Teacher of Geography (and/or Business Studies)
About This Role
About the school
Richmond Park School is a pioneering educational establishment located in a sought-after residential area, well-connected to central Madrid. The school began its journey in September 2019, offering Early Years and Primary education, and is spearheaded by two experienced educational leaders in Primary and Secondary education, supported by a strong private company with expertise in British education within Spain. As anticipated, the school is witnessing substantial growth. Currently, the Early Years and Year 6 have reached full enrollment with three classes per grade. For the Secondary level, there are two classes per year group, with plans to increase to three classes annually as the lower grades progress. A new chapter commenced in September 2022 with the launch of a modern, spacious secondary building. Our Year 11 students have excelled in their IGCSE results, and we have successfully introduced the International Baccalaureate Diploma for students in Years 12 and 13, following an effective authorization process. A brand-new International Baccalaureate Centre, featuring outstanding facilities, is set to open in September 2025.
The school prioritizes both academic and holistic development for all students. Our extensive curriculum, enriched with co-curricular projects and experiences, empowers students to unlock their potential through the acquisition of advanced knowledge, comprehensive understanding, and a diverse skill set. Students grow into creative, independent, reflective thinkers and proficient communicators. Equally important, foundational moral and ethical principles such as respect, kindness, and integrity are central to our educational approach. We inspire our students to be generous and supportive, nurturing a strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
Richmond Park School provides a tranquil yet dynamic learning environment. While teachers facilitate and guide student learning, students are encouraged to take initiative, engage in critical thinking, explore, solve problems, and create. We believe that teaching and learning are interconnected; one cannot thrive without the other.
As a modern, forward-thinking institution, we are committed to developing the digital, communication, and critical thinking skills essential for our students to succeed in the future.
