Gulf British Academy is on the lookout for a dynamic and skilled Secondary English Teacher to instruct students across KS3 and KS4 as part of our expanding institution located in the vibrant heart of Kuwait.

Who We Are Looking For

We are in search of a UK-qualified, passionate, and skilled Secondary English Teacher who:

  • Fosters strong, trusting relationships with students through engaging and supportive learning experiences
  • Creates an inclusive, motivating, and academically stimulating classroom atmosphere
  • Delivers outstanding English lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Integrates oracy, structured talk, debate, and reflective dialogue into daily instruction
  • Enhances students' reading, writing, speaking, and analytical abilities
  • Designs engaging and progressive schemes of work in accordance with the National Curriculum and/or IGCSE
  • Aids learners in becoming confident communicators, articulate writers, and independent thinkers
  • Actively participates in assemblies, performances, literacy initiatives, and school-wide events

Applicants should be fluent English-speaking graduates possessing a UK DfE teacher number or in the final stages of their training. We appreciate educators who contribute fresh ideas, maintain a growth mindset, and commit to ongoing professional development.

Essential Requirements

Candidates must possess:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – PGCE, BEd, or equivalent
  • A UK bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, English Language, or a related field
  • Recent and successful teaching experience in a UK or BSO-accredited school
  • Proficiency in delivering the National Curriculum for English and/or IGCSE
  • Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for student behavior
  • Advanced digital literacy (Google Workspace, shared drives, digital resources)
