Al Basma is a highly regarded and over-subscribed ENC School, and we are looking for a Physics specialist with A level experience to join our accomplished Secondary Science team.

Our seven-form entry school serves over 2000 students from FS1 to Y13. In September 2020, we inaugurated a modern Primary block for Year 3 to Year 6.

We adhere to the National Curriculum of England and utilize the updated 2020 Development Matters Framework in EYFS. For students in Year 4 to Year 10, we administer both GL CAT4 and GL Progress tests. Additionally, we offer a variety of GCSE, iGCSE, iAS, and iA Levels from Cambridge, Edexcel, and Pearson exam boards to our senior students. We have also started to introduce an array of BTEC qualifications to provide more tailored educational pathways.

The school received its BSO (British Schools Overseas) accreditation in May 2016 during its second year and has continually improved, achieving a 'Good' rating with an increased number of outstanding features in May 2022. Since January 2017, we have consistently attained Band A ratings in the ADEK Irtiq'aa inspections. Most recently, in February 2022, we solidified our 'Very Good' ADEK grading, with numerous outstanding features noted.

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Y7 to 13 Science Education with a Chemistry specialization and QTS or equivalent.

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a closely related field, along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Secondary Science with a Chemistry specialization and QTS or equivalent.
or
• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any subject, paired with an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Secondary Science with QTS or equivalent, and a minimum of two years teaching experience in Secondary Chemistry.
