School Counsellor (Immediate start)

Al Jazeera Academy is looking to hire a Bilingual School Counsellor who can:

- Work independently as well as collaboratively to positively impact the lives of our students.
- Establish constructive relationships with students and, when appropriate, their parents, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and awareness, particularly as our student body primarily consists of Qatari families.
- Offer guidance and support to staff to address the emotional and pastoral needs of the students in their care.
- Hold a degree in Sociology or Psychology.

The Role:
The ideal candidate will deliver a professional and confidential counselling service to students, enhancing their welfare, personal development, and resilience to navigate challenges effectively. Applicants should possess qualifications to work as a school counsellor, with relevant school experience being highly advantageous.

Paperwork Requirements:
You will need notarized and attested academic degrees, counselling certificates, transcripts, marriage, and dependent birth certificates. Further documentation requirements will be provided.

The successful applicant will be required to present a criminal records check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) prior to employment confirmation. Candidates currently residing outside the DBS authority will need to provide an approved certificate from the equivalent authority in their country of residence.
