About This Role

Aldenham Prep Riyadh, a member of the Aldenham Education Group closely affiliated with Aldenham School in the UK, founded in 1597, commenced classes in September 2022. Due to ongoing expansion, we are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a **Primary Class Teacher** to join our dedicated team, with a start date in January 2025.

Qualified and experienced candidates may have the potential to take on leadership or management positions as our network of schools continues to grow.

As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering most of the curriculum to your class while collaborating with fellow educators to foster a supportive teaching and learning environment across the Year Group. This ensures that all students have equitable opportunities and that teaching staff feel well-supported by their colleagues.

Specialist teachers will cover Arabic, Islamic studies, Music, and PE, complementing the curriculum. Each class will also have the assistance of a dedicated Teaching Assistant.

Teaching and Learning:

You will be expected to:

- Deliver a comprehensive and balanced curriculum.
- Provide well-planned, engaging, and creative lessons that meet the diverse needs of all students.

- Utilize technology to enhance teaching and support student learning.
- Differentiate instruction appropriately to ensure every student can access the curriculum and make significant progress.
- Exhibit excellent subject knowledge relevant to the age group.
- Establish challenging developmental goals for students and employ varied strategies, resources, and technologies to help them achieve these goals.
- Make effective use of Teaching Support Assistants to aid children in class.
- Adhere to Aldenham's procedures for assessing, recording, and reporting on student achievements, using this data to inform future learning and communicate progress in report writing.
- Provide students with consistent written and verbal feedback, encouraging them to reflect on and respond to this feedback.
- Fully engage in co-curricular and activity programs.

Person Specification:

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

- A relevant Bachelor's Degree, preferably from a UK University.
- UK Postgraduate Certificate of Education or Qualified Teacher Status.
- A minimum of two years of relevant teaching experience is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum of England.
- A strong academic background, stature, and experience that instills respect among students, parents, colleagues, and the wider community.
- A commitment to academic progress and the welfare and safeguarding of students.
- Awareness of recent educational developments and best practices.

Desirable skills and experience:

- Understanding of the challenges within a UK independent school environment.
- Experience working with children who speak English as an Additional Language.
- Proficient in using technology to support education.
