About This Role
Chetham’s School of Music is on the lookout for a Music Timetable and Administration Officer to become part of its esteemed institution located in the heart of Manchester. Renowned as the largest specialist music school in the UK, Chetham’s also houses the oldest library in the English-speaking world and a premier concert venue.
The Role
• We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Music Timetable and Administration Officer who will be in charge of creating the weekly instrumental timetables for the UK's largest specialist music school.
• The ideal candidate will exhibit strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities, with a friendly, student-centered approach.
• Expected working hours are 21 hours per week, spread over 43 weeks each year (inclusive of term-time plus 7 additional weeks).
• While a regular schedule can be established through negotiation, it must align with the hours of Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Please indicate your preferred hours when applying.
• This position allows for limited hybrid working options (occasional remote work).
• Non-term time hours may offer more flexibility, subject to the discretion of the Music Department Manager, but must meet the demands and deadlines of the role.
• The anticipated start date is May 2026, pending successful recruitment checks.
• This is a fixed-term position until January 2027, with the possibility of extension.
In Return
• The starting salary is SCP 17, ranging from £15,538.59 to £16,096.42 per year (£29,086.77 to £30,130.98 per year FTE).
