We are currently looking for an Islamic Studies Lead Teacher to join our esteemed teaching team. The ideal applicant will be an inspiring, highly qualified, and knowledgeable educator capable of teaching across all grade levels. Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Education is required.

• A qualified teacher with a minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering the National Islamic Curriculum to students of various ages.

• Outstanding practitioners who can deliver innovative lessons based on modern pedagogical principles and progressive initiatives.

• Proficient in using digital tools to enhance and make learning relevant, supporting the school's ‘Apple Distinguished School’ recognition.

• A collaborative professional who works effectively within their immediate team and the broader school community.

Role Purpose:

• Support and guide students by removing barriers to learning, encouraging effective participation, and helping them realize their full potential.

• Work collaboratively within the department to develop, implement, and assess teaching and learning strategies that optimize student outcomes in the subject area.

• Monitor and evaluate teachers’ lesson planning and respond appropriately to emerging issues and data indicators.

• Develop your subject area to serve as a model of excellence for others within and beyond our community, enhancing the quality of services provided to students in their learning journey.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards in Islamic Studies, particularly concerning student progress.

• Actively support the school’s vision, ethos, culture, and policies.

• Inspire and motivate both students and teachers to embrace the vision for the Islamic Studies department.

• Foster a department culture that is positive, purposeful, and professional.

• Engage constructively in the school Appraisal process and performance management systems.

• Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and young people.

• Lead the strategic priorities for Islamic Studies, directing these elements of the school development plan and reporting findings to the Senior Leadership Team.

• Collaborate with Islamic governance and parent engagement to ensure the curriculum is relevant, assessments are achievable, and learning is engaging.

Compensation

£35,000 - £55,000 (Tax-Free Equivalent)
