We are looking for a skilled and forward-thinking **Head of Primary Digital Literacy, Innovation and Innovation** to join our dynamic team as a member of the **Associate Leadership Team** in August 2025. In this role, you will **lead innovation** within our Primary school, including the **effective integration of AI** as a tool for teaching, learning, and planning. Your responsibilities will primarily involve **teaching computing** in the Primary years, with some instruction in KS3, guiding the **strategic development of digital literacy** across the school, and contributing to our **ongoing excellence as an Apple Distinguished School**.

**Key Responsibilities:**

This role includes a wide range of responsibilities, such as:

● Teaching computing from KS1 to KS3.
● Leading innovation efforts, including AI integration within the Primary School.
● Overseeing the strategic development of digital literacy throughout the school.
● Informing decisions regarding the strategic advancement of Apple Distinguished Status across the school.
● Staying informed about innovative ADS practices and pedagogies globally.
● Evaluating, reviewing, and enhancing digital initiatives to improve engagement and functionality of ADS teaching and learning across the school.
● Leading digital projects, including research-based initiatives that assess new tools and approaches to digital integration.
● Elevating the school’s reputation for Apple initiatives through securing external accreditations and awards.
● Establishing an annual IT training program and sharing best practices within the school, including breakfast, twilight, and lunchtime drop-in sessions throughout the academic year.
● Designing and delivering new staff induction sessions to familiarize them with the tools provided by the school.
● Spearheading the re-accreditation process for Apple Distinguished School status.
● Networking and collaborating with experts in the field to ensure forward-thinking practices.
● Supporting the professional development of staff to enhance learning through technology.
● Working with the IT team to optimize systems and hardware to meet the needs of the school community.
● Assisting staff and students (where applicable) in embedding AI into the curriculum for educational purposes, fostering creativity, personalized learning, and critical thinking to enhance teaching and learning.
● Conducting workshops and training for our school community to promote safe, responsible, and effective use of technology, including AI, to enhance learning.
● Overseeing the review, implementation, and monitoring of new technology resources and applications.
● Ensuring that AI tools and technologies comply with school safeguarding policies and UAE data protection regulations.

**Requirements:**

**Essential**
● Bachelor’s degree with full teaching qualifications (e.g., BEd, PGCE, QTS).
● At least 4 years of relevant teaching experience.
● Proven success in leading teams to achieve strategic objectives under pressure.
● Proficiency in current digital tools, pedagogy, and innovative educational initiatives.
● Dedication to raising standards and promoting a positive, inclusive school culture.
● Competence in utilizing digital technologies to enhance learning in line with Apple Distinguished School standards.

**Desirable**
● Previous experience in middle leadership.
● Experience in delivering Professional Development and supporting staff.
● Knowledge of implementing and adapting an enriched curriculum using digital tools.
● Experience in leading whole-school digital strategies and initiatives.
