The role:

As the Head of Maths, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading initiatives that enhance student engagement and school spirit.
  • Supporting enrichment programs and school activities.
  • Enhancing parental involvement through effective communication and progress updates.
  • Delivering engaging, inclusive, and impactful lessons.
  • Encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking.
  • Utilizing data-driven approaches to address diverse learning requirements.
  • Incorporating digital tools to improve learning experiences.
  • Acting as a Form Tutor and contributing to the A-Level curriculum.
  • Developing and executing lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
  • Ensuring thorough assessments and prompt feedback.
  • Participating in curriculum innovation and quality assurance.
  • Committing to ongoing professional development.
  • Reflecting on teaching practices to enhance effectiveness.
  • Upholding the school’s values and fostering a positive school environment.
  • Working flexibly and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries of residence.
  • Compliance with visa requirements for employment (holding a bachelor’s degree and having at least two years of relevant experience).
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, along with a readiness to undertake necessary child protection training.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
