About This Role
GEMS Schools in Dubai are seeking a passionate, qualified, and experienced Head of Inclusion to become a part of their team starting August 2026. The primary responsibilities include:
- Working in partnership with the SENDCo to develop and oversee individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Fostering strong connections with students and their families to ensure all needs are addressed.
- Participating in continuous professional development and contributing to a culture of excellence.
- Supporting the overall Teaching and Learning policy to enhance inclusive teaching practices.
- Offering opportunities for colleagues to observe each other and visit other schools to exchange best practices.
- Collecting and analyzing specialized assessment data on students to inform instructional strategies.
- Collaborating with the Pastoral leader and teachers to monitor individual teaching sessions in relation to student IEP goals.
- Integrating critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning approaches in daily teaching.
- Creating a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages independence, self-confidence, and curiosity.
- Establishing and upholding clear classroom routines and maintaining high standards for behavior and academic performance.
- Complying with and promoting all school policies regarding discipline, safeguarding, and student welfare.
- Cultivating positive relationships with students to support their social and emotional well-being.
- Ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of all students at all times.
