Position: Head of Digital Innovation (with teaching responsibilities)

Reporting to: Head of School and School Leadership Team

Salary and Benefits: A competitive salary will be provided, commensurate with the role's responsibilities and the candidate's experience. The Opportunity

Raoul Wallenberg International School (RWIS) is seeking a forward-thinking and strategic Head of Digital & Innovation to lead Digital Literacy education across designated year groups, starting in the 2026–2027 academic year.

This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to influence and enhance the school’s digital initiatives, ensuring that RWIS remains at the forefront of innovation, future-oriented, and in line with global best practices in educational technology. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of digital infrastructure, IT systems, cybersecurity, digital platforms, and technology integration, while leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive digital strategy and innovation roadmap.

As part of the middle leadership team, the Head of Digital & Innovation will be responsible for crafting the Digital Literacy curriculum, supporting the creation of co-curricular programs such as robotics and coding clubs, and facilitating the incorporation of leading-edge technologies into an engaging, inquiry-driven learning environment. While the role includes teaching Digital Literacy classes, its primary focus is on strategic planning: ensuring RWIS has the necessary systems, tools, culture, and long-term vision to foster exceptional learning and efficient school operations.

Position Scope

Digital Leadership and Management

  • Direct the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the school’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and software systems.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the school's IT systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

Systems Administration:

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Create and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant IT policies and regulations.
  • Maintain adherence to data protection standards and best practices.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical assistance to staff and students, promptly addressing hardware and software issues.
  • Develop and lead training sessions to enhance IT proficiency among staff and students.

IT Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a long-term IT strategy to keep the school at the leading edge of technological integration and advancement.
  • Assist in formulating and executing the school's IT strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve educational delivery and administrative operations.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
*Estimated range based on regional data averages.
