About the Role:

We are in search of a dynamic leader who is deeply passionate about advancing innovative STEM education. You will play a crucial role in nurturing skills related to technology, research, and inquiry, inspiring both students and educators. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a transformative learning environment, establishing a lively and engaging department where staff and students are empowered to enhance their STEM skills, apply them effectively, and reach their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of creative and reflective educators.
• Teach courses in one or more of the subjects, demonstrating effective teaching and learning practices in your classroom.
• Foster a passion for learning while deepening understanding in mathematics, physics, and computer science.
• Design and implement a groundbreaking approach to STEM education.
• Create an atmosphere that promotes entrepreneurial spirit and creativity.
• Encourage students to excel in IGCSE and A-Level examinations, as well as in international Olympiads and competitions.
• Ensure mastery of subjects and excellence in curriculum development.
• Develop strategies that empower talented students to achieve outstanding results in both academic and extracurricular pursuits.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A master’s degree or doctorate in one of the subject areas is preferred.
• Proven leadership experience and a successful history in a similar head of department or academic leadership position. Experience in UK or British International schools will be a plus.
