Grade 1/2 teacher

We are seeking a talented, confident, and driven individual to take on the role of Grade 1/2 Teacher at Muscowpetung Education Center (MEC), located in Muscowpetung First Nation, Saskatchewan. This term position will last until June 26, 2026, with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time position for the 2026/2027 academic year.

In this role, you will utilize your strong interpersonal skills and commitment to creating an engaging learning atmosphere for students. A comprehensive understanding of Canada's Indigenous Peoples is crucial, along with the ability to integrate Saulteaux culture, values, and history into the curriculum. You are expected to uphold high standards and expectations for student performance, especially in literacy and numeracy. Additionally, strong classroom management skills are essential, including the implementation of effective strategies for managing both classroom behavior and instruction. Adapting teaching methods and curriculum to meet the needs of students with special requirements is vital to ensure an inclusive educational setting.
