About This Role
Design, prepare, and deliver captivating Mathematics lessons that fulfill the requirements of the GCSE and IGCSE Level curriculum. Employ a range of teaching methods, hands-on investigations, and technology to enhance the educational experience. Create and administer assessments (both formative and summative) that track student progress and ready them for examinations. Tailor instruction to accommodate the diverse needs of learners, including those who excel and those who require extra help. Ensure that lessons are in alignment with curriculum guidelines and examination board standards. Engage in internal standardization and moderation activities. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, grades, and reports. Adhere to school policies regarding discipline, attendance, and safeguarding. Attend departmental meetings, training sessions, and contribute to school improvement projects. Remain informed about advancements in Mathematics, teaching methodologies, and assessment practices. Collaborate with fellow Mathematics Department colleagues to devise work schemes and exchange effective strategies. Participate in extracurricular Mathematics activities, such as clubs, competitions, or field trips. Support the overall progress and well-being of students, providing them with guidance on educational issues. Ensure compliance with GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct at all times.
