ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS TEACHER (GRADES 7–12)

The Conseil scolaire du Nord-Ouest (CSNO) is seeking a full-time probationary English Language Arts Teacher for Grades 7–12 at École des Quatre-Vents in Peace River, Alberta.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Instruct students in the English Language Arts curriculum for junior and senior high (grades 7-12).
• Cultivate a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes both academic success and personal growth.
• Actively participate in school events and build connections with students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).
• A Bachelor’s degree in Education.
• Expertise in diverse classroom strategies within an inclusive setting.
• Ability to uphold the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard (TQS).
• Strong proficiency in the English language.
• Competency in utilizing the Internet and various interactive technologies to enhance teaching programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Conversational French knowledge is an asset.
• A clear Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check and a Child Intervention Record Check.
