Drama Teacher (with potential position of responsibility)
About This Role
We seek a highly qualified and inspiring subject teacher who resonates with the academic and holistic values characteristic of leading British International Schools. A genuine passion for creating an enchanting learning environment, offering tailored pastoral care for each student, and delivering a diverse and fulfilling enrichment curriculum is essential. While prior overseas experience is not mandatory, a strong desire to engage in a truly international community is required. Jerudong International School is dedicated to providing equal opportunities for all staff, and we encourage applications from individuals regardless of any protected characteristics as outlined in the 2010 UK Equality Act.
School Ethos
The motto of Jerudong International School students is “Togetherness and Community.” Integral to this ethos is our Polio Points reward system, which encourages students in Years 7 to 13 to exceed expectations in their actions. This reward system is founded on our six student aims: Leadership, Resilience, Communication, Thinking, Engagement, and Integration. Students earn Polio Points, contributing to the international End Polio movement and supporting UNICEF.
Sustainability Commitment
We are committed to evolving into a genuinely sustainable school community, with the Green Flag Eco-School initiative playing a pivotal role in this journey. Our goal is to thoughtfully consider our impact on both the local and global community in every aspect of school life. We motivate students to extend their awareness beyond the school grounds, recognizing how their actions can resonate on a global scale. The Sustainable Development Goals serve as a framework for achieving a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world for all. Our school strives to cultivate socially responsible, global citizens prepared to tackle the challenges of the 21st century.
