About This Role

GEMS World Academy–Dubai (GWA) is a prestigious private co-educational International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, accommodating students from PreK through Grade 12. Founded in 2008 and part of GEMS Education, GWA is authorized to deliver the PYP, MYP, DP, and CP programs, holding accreditation from both the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

THE ROLE

Our Inclusion department has made remarkable strides in improving student outcomes and instilling a passion for learning at GEMS World Academy. This success is a result of our dedicated staff, their exceptional subject knowledge, and the department’s innovative strategies in data and curriculum development. The Inclusion department is well-regarded by students for its personalized support and attention.

We invite applications for the position of Director of Inclusion from dynamic candidates who align with our values and are committed to nurturing a love of learning at GEMS World Academy.

SKILLS

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with the IBDP and a proven track record of diverse and successful teaching. A strong alignment with the IB philosophy and the values outlined in the Learner Profile is essential, along with a passion for engaging with our varied community. Additionally, we seek a candidate who possesses:

  • A recognized professional teaching qualification at the degree level, such as B. Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or an equivalent specialization in working with students with special needs.
  • At least 3 years of varied and demonstrable experience in the inclusion sector at both Primary and Secondary levels, ideally within an IB curriculum setting, though this is not a strict requirement.
  • Availability to start in August 2026.
  • The experience, personality, and educational vision to advance the educational agenda at this leading GEMS World school with an international student body.
  • A strong commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
  • A desire to work within a prestigious institution offering genuine opportunities for career progression.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
