About This Role
O Castro British International School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Computer Science Teacher to join our team:
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Computer Science, including programming, algorithms, data representation, and systems architecture.
Teach across KS3–KS5, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations (e.g., AQA, OCR).
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND or EAL.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress regularly.
Contribute to curriculum development and the integration of new technologies.
Support extracurricular computing activities, such as coding clubs or competitions.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
C1/C2 level of English.
Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting.
Strong knowledge of the British curriculum and relevant exam boards.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, HTML/CSS).
