About This Role

O Castro British International School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Computer Science Teacher to join our team:

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Computer Science, including programming, algorithms, data representation, and systems architecture.

  • Teach across KS3–KS5, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations (e.g., AQA, OCR).

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND or EAL.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress regularly.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and the integration of new technologies.

  • Support extracurricular computing activities, such as coding clubs or competitions.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • C1/C2 level of English.

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting.

  • Strong knowledge of the British curriculum and relevant exam boards.

  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, HTML/CSS).
