Assistant Head Teacher - Secondary School

Park House English School is one of the oldest and most prestigious British schools in Doha, Qatar. Founded in 1994 by Mrs. Heather Brennan, we are celebrating our 32nd year of providing outstanding educational provision. The school has a long history of exceptional success, and we are looking to appoint an outstanding Assistant Head Teacher- Secondary School to join our highly committed team of professionals.

The Role

The successful candidate will lead on all aspects of the pastoral side of the school, including attendance and punctuality, rewards and sanctions, and student wellbeing. They will lead a team of progress leaders and take an active role in supporting them to identify and intervene with students to obtatin the best outcomes. The candidate should also be prepared to teach across all Key Stages within her or his subject specialism, or other subjects as required. Experience in teaching within the British Curriculum up to A Level is highly desirable. A recognised teaching qualification and a degree essential requirements. Please note that TEFL/CELTA qualifications are not accepted.

The postholder will report to the Head of Secondary directly, and will work within a dynamic and flexible team of Assistant Headteachers to support the Head of Secondary in all aspects of the development of the school. The successful candidate will have operational leadership of the pastoral branch of the school, but is expected to work across all aspects of school life to support the students, staff, and leadership team.
