Your role will involve inspiring, engaging, and challenging students during their formative years by creating a nurturing and play-based learning atmosphere. You will deliver high-quality teaching and inclusive learning experiences that ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and support students' academic, social, and personal growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching and Learning:
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the Curriculum to effectively implement it in alignment with learning outcomes.
- Utilize appropriate syllabi, resources, and work schemes to enhance students' skills in science specialisms.
- Organize classroom provisions and learning resources while creating displays that promote a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Plan, prepare, and present lessons that accommodate the diverse abilities within the class.
- Consistently and effectively plan lessons and sequences of lessons to meet individual students' learning needs.
- Foster a conducive learning atmosphere that encourages exceptional practice.
- Inspire students by delivering enjoyable and creative lessons that challenge them and enhance critical thinking.
- Identify clear teaching and learning objectives and track student achievement against these goals.
- Reflect on classroom provisions, sessions taught, progress made, and adjust the environment, planning, and curriculum accordingly.
- Support SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T students, ensuring their needs are met through differentiation.
- Facilitate Hybrid / Distance Learning / Face-to-Face lessons.
Behavior Management and Duties:
- Adhere to the school's established policies and procedures, including behavior, code of conduct, and child safeguarding policies.
- Manage classes effectively using techniques appropriate to students' needs to inspire, motivate, and challenge them.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority and acting decisively within the school's established frameworks.
- Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the positive attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
- Maintain high expectations for good conduct, promoting self-control and independence among all learners.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment conducive to appropriate social, emotional, and academic growth for all students.
- Carry out assigned duties in accordance with the school's established policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in a related field along with a PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Required experience in an international school setting.
- Experience working with students for whom English is not the first language (EAL).
