King’s College Doha is looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Physics to join our team in August 2026, tasked with delivering exceptional instruction throughout the Secondary School and Sixth Form.

Role Overview:

The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Physics instruction throughout the Secondary School and Sixth Form. You will motivate students to develop critical thinking, scientific reasoning, and problem-solving abilities through a dynamic and innovative curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Design, prepare, and deliver exceptional Physics lessons that are engaging, challenging, and inclusive.

• Create comprehensive schemes of work and lesson plans that align with UK curriculum standards.

• Employ diverse teaching methods and digital resources to enhance student learning.

• Provide prompt, constructive feedback to foster students’ academic development.

• Prepare students for external assessments, including GCSE and A Level Physics.

Pupil Enrichment

• Organize and support extracurricular initiatives such as STEM clubs, competitions, and educational excursions.

• Encourage students to explore pathways and careers in Science.

Pastoral Responsibilities

• Contribute to the holistic development of students through effective pastoral care.

• Engage in co-curricular and enrichment activities throughout the school.

Curriculum Development

• Develop stimulating learning experiences that enhance comprehension.

• Create innovative, high-quality subject-specific resources.

• Assist in sourcing and managing specialized materials.

• Ensure cohesive vertical and horizontal alignment of the curriculum.

• Analyze student progress data and take action to secure exceptional outcomes.

• Regularly review practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Person Specification

• Strong knowledge of the Physics curriculum (E)

• High levels of subject expertise (E)

• At least two years of relevant teaching experience (E)

• Experience in teaching GCSE and A Level Physics (E)

• Strong practical and investigative skills (E)

• Recognized teaching qualification (E)

• Good degree in Physics or a related field (E)
