GEMS International School, Al Khail is currently seeking applications from qualified Spanish Teachers, with positions available starting in August 2026.
Key Responsibilities
•
Design and implement engaging, inquiry-driven lessons that spark curiosity, promote critical thinking, and foster a passion for learning.
•
Establish a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that recognizes and supports individual strengths and diverse learning styles.
•
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the varied needs of all students, including those who are EAL, gifted, or require additional assistance.
•
Incorporate technology and innovative techniques to enrich student engagement and enhance the learning experience.
•
Effectively assess, document, and communicate student progress, utilizing data to guide instruction and personalized support.
•
Work collaboratively with colleagues to create and refine curriculum plans, resources, and assessments aligned with IB standards.
•
Participate in the broader school community through co-curricular activities, events, and initiatives that benefit the community.
•
Foster positive relationships with parents and the wider school community to support student development and wellbeing.
•
Engage in continual professional development and self-reflection to improve teaching practices.
•
Embody the GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile in every aspect of school life.
The ideal candidate will possess:
•
A recognized professional teaching qualification at the degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent with a specialization in Spanish.
•
At least 3 years of substantial and verifiable experience teaching Secondary Spanish, preferably in an IB Curriculum School (though this is not a requirement).
•
Experience with MYP and DP is advantageous but not mandatory.
•
A strong enthusiasm for inspiring young learners through innovative and inquiry-based educational practices.
•
