Position Overview:
Following a retirement, we are on the lookout for a passionate and skilled French teacher to join our Senior School team, starting on a part-time basis of 50%, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time role in the future.
The successful candidate will possess:

A recognized teaching qualification alongside a strong grasp of French / Modern Foreign Languages.
•
Native-level or near-native fluency in both spoken and written French.
•
Experience teaching French in a secondary/senior school setting covering Key Stages 3–5.
•
A background in preparing students for external examinations (IGCSE, GCSE, IB).
•
Outstanding communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
•
Confidence in utilizing digital tools and technology to enhance language learning.
Primary Duties
Teaching and Learning
•
Design and deliver dynamic, high-quality French lessons aimed at enhancing students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities.
•
Employ a variety of innovative and interactive teaching methods to foster active language acquisition.
•
Track student progress through effective assessments and feedback, adjusting instruction to cater to individual needs.
Departmental Engagement
•
Collaborate with colleagues in the Modern Languages Department to maintain high teaching and learning standards.
•
Contribute to curriculum development, resource creation, and departmental projects.
Cultural Enrichment
•
Encourage a passion for French through cultural initiatives, projects, and events.
Professional Duties
•
Communicate effectively with parents about students’ progress and achievements.
•
Engage in relevant meetings and professional development activities in accordance with the 50% teaching commitment.
