Located in the heart of Phuket Island, HeadStart achieved ‘International School’ status in 2010 and is fully accredited by The Education Development Trust. In our latest inspection, we received the International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM), with assessors recognizing the school as a ‘Good School with Outstanding Features.’

Our curriculum is aligned with the national framework of England, and we provide Cambridge and Pearson qualifications in secondary education, including IGCSEs, A Levels, and BTECs.

The primary campus at Chaofah accommodates 1,000 students and is oversubscribed in many year groups. Beginning in August 2028, we will broaden our Upper School facilities and offerings to establish 'HeadStart College' as the leading educational institution in Southern Thailand.

In August 2023, we inaugurated a new campus in northern Phuket, Cherngtalay. Initially launched as a one-form Foundation and Primary school, the Cherngtalay Campus has expanded to a three-form entry Foundation, Primary, and Secondary school (KS3 only) for up to 500 students.

About the Role

This position is a one-year maternity cover from August 2026 to July 2027.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Russian Teacher and Coordinator to become part of our team in August 2026. This is a distinctive opportunity to lead the school's Russian program, collaborating with committed colleagues to motivate students and achieve exceptional results. The successful applicant will teach Russian across the Primary age groups, coordinate the Russian curriculum, and promote the language and culture through interactive lessons and activities.

Essential Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.


A recognized teaching qualification (BEd, PGCE, iPGCE, or equivalent).


Experience teaching Primary students.


Capacity to analyze student performance data and apply improvement strategies.


Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with staff, students, and parents.


Fluency in English.

Desirable Attributes:


Experience in team management.


Experience coordinating events, extracurricular activities, or enrichment programs.


Prior experience in an international school setting.


Knowledge of the UK curriculum and teaching experience within a UK or international school context.


Experience incorporating technology into teaching and learning.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
