JESS Arabian Ranches Secondary School is on the lookout for an exceptional, enthusiastic, and driven Computer Science Teacher to commence in August 2026.

We seek to appoint a highly motivated and talented professional with outstanding subject expertise, a proven history of excellence, and a solid understanding of effective and engaging teaching methodologies to become a member of our successful and supportive Design Technology and Computer Science Department. The successful applicant will be tasked with delivering exceptional Computing and Computer Science education across KS3–KS5, with a strong focus on IB Computer Science, Java, OOP, SQL, and machine learning.

Be a fully qualified and experienced Computing and Computer Science Teacher possessing a relevant degree and teaching qualification, with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience. Experience as a GCSE or IB examiner is advantageous.


Have experience teaching Computing and Computer Science across KS3–KS5, including GCSE and IB Computer Science (highly desirable).


Possess a strong track record of achieving successful academic outcomes.


Demonstrate a commitment to personal professional development and have relevant recent training that qualifies them for this position.


Be capable of utilizing and promoting a variety of teaching and learning strategies, creating a stimulating and safe learning environment by establishing high expectations and implementing effective classroom management and organization.


Have experience delivering outstanding lessons in Java, Python, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), SQL, and machine learning.


Exhibit robust knowledge and understanding, along with a proven track record of elevating standards in Computing and Computer Science.


Be dedicated to collaborating with colleagues and fostering strong relationships.


Be committed to safeguarding and child protection, as well as the broader pastoral care of students.


Contribute to school life beyond the classroom by engaging in extracurricular activities and school community events, including leading and participating in extracurricular activities (ECAs) such as coding clubs, robotics, and STEM competitions, as well as mentoring and coaching student teams for VEX Robotics (IQ and V5), with a history of leading teams to international competitions.

Compensation
