About This Role

Brighton College Vietnam is seeking to hire a Teacher of Physical Education to become part of our team starting in August 2026.

ROLE SPECIFICATION

The academic achievements of Brighton College Vietnam stem from outstanding, innovative, and well-structured teaching. Inspiring children is essential, as is a readiness to uphold the school’s ambitions and values while engaging in the comprehensive life of the College. Successful applicants will be independent and adaptable, demonstrating high levels of initiative. A solid academic background, including a relevant degree, is required.

Reporting to: Director of Sports

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Serve as an ambassador for the College at all times.


Deliver a timetable, fulfill staff duties as assigned by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and actively participate in the Co-Curricular Programme by leading at least two activities each week.

Teaching and Learning


Instruct PE and Games for students in Years 1–13.


Encourage each student to achieve their academic potential through enthusiastic, personalized teaching, tailored challenges, diligent record keeping, and follow-ups.


Be informed of and adhere to all College policies, including those related to marking, assessment, teaching, learning, and reporting.


Develop and share schemes of work and resources in the prescribed formats.


Provide assistance in covering for colleagues when necessary.


Attend all required meetings and professional development sessions.


Prepare, invigilate, and assess internal and external tests and examinations as needed.

Pastoral


Take an active interest in each student’s personal and family circumstances to support their personal and social development.


Promote the social, moral, and cultural ethos of the College community actively.


Cultivate a supportive environment by being aware of and fully complying with all College policies.


Be knowledgeable of all the College’s Health and Safety policies and proactively ensure the safety of all community members at all times.


Encourage exemplary behavior and responsible attitudes among students consistently.


Be aware of and act in accordance with all policies regarding child safeguarding.

Professional responsibilities


Instill pride in the College within the student body through behavior and commitment.


Ensure that all communications are addressed appropriately and promptly.


Contribute to the College’s website, social media, and publications as required.


Engage in the College’s Self Evaluation and Development Plan.


Establish a close partnership with parents, reaching out when appropriate.


Fulfill any reasonable requests made by the Head of College and SLT.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
