About This Role

We are in search of an exceptional, innovative, and enthusiastic Secondary French teacher to become part of our British International School. ISCS is a British School that offers the Cambridge International curriculum to a diverse group of Swiss and international students. We provide high-quality education from Early Years through to Year 13. Our aim is to foster a strong community comprised of students, parents, and an ISCS Team that is highly motivated, supportive of the school's objectives, and collaborates to maximize opportunities for all involved.

As we continue to grow in student numbers each year, we are eager to welcome more outstanding professionals to our team. Currently, our class sizes range from 8 to 15 students.

We are looking for a skilled Secondary French teacher to join our School starting August 2026, in response to the expansion of our Secondary Department. Candidates should possess a genuine enthusiasm for teaching Secondary students within an inclusive environment. We seek someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality education in an international context, demonstrates creativity in their approach, and is dedicated to ongoing learning. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, thrive on challenges, and excel as a classroom practitioner.

What we seek:

The successful candidate for this teaching position will possess the following qualifications:

• A strong Bachelor's Degree

• A recognized teaching qualification: PGCE or equivalent

• Relevant teaching experience in a UK or International context, particularly with the Cambridge International Curriculum or the National Curriculum of England and Wales

• Experience teaching French at the Secondary level, focusing on IGCSE and A level.

• Fluency in English

• Comprehensive understanding of Teaching & Learning pedagogy

• An innovative and inspirational teaching style

• High expectations for students and colleagues

• Experience with technology to enhance learning

• A professional demeanor in accordance with the Teachers’ Standards

• Flexibility in teaching methods

• Experience in developing Schemes of Learning and adapting to curriculum changes

• Strong interpersonal skills

• A B or C permit to work and live in Switzerland is preferred.
