The British School of Barcelona (BSB) is an exceptional institution situated in a remarkable location. As an HMC school, we recently received an outstanding rating in every category from a British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection, which included quality of education, safeguarding, pupil welfare, and academic results.

BSB serves a large and diverse community of students aged 3 to 18. Our educational framework is grounded in the English National Curriculum, offering a comprehensive selection of GCSEs, A levels, BTEC, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, complemented by a robust enrichment program.

With over 2000 students from more than 74 nationalities and a dedicated staff of over 315, BSB operates across three sites. Two campuses are located just outside Barcelona in Castelldefels, featuring Primary, Secondary, and Pre-University facilities, while another Primary campus is situated in the vibrant town of Sitges. Additionally, BSB City, located in the center of Barcelona, includes a Foundation campus (established in September 2021) and a new main campus that opened in September 2023.

In September 2026, we will be launching another campus in the Maresme area, initially catering to Early Years and Primary students.

Our school's expansion has been bolstered by significant investments, including the construction of a cutting-edge Pre-University Centre (Nexus), a full-sized 4G rugby and football pitch, dedicated STEAM facilities, and the new campuses in BSB City and Maresme.

About the Role:
We are in search of two full-time, permanent Business teachers for our BSB City and Castelldefels campuses. Please indicate your preferred campus in your application.

We are ideally seeking candidates with a proven history of success in A level and/or IBDP and GCSE Business examinations. However, applications from newly qualified teachers will also be welcomed.

A commitment to engaging in the broader life of the school and participating in our enrichment program is a fundamental expectation for this role.

As a teacher at BSB, you will adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Cognita Teaching Toolkit. This includes established expectations for planning, assessment, lesson implementation, and broader professional responsibilities. Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to achieving the school's strategic objectives and fulfill any reasonable requests from the Headteacher and Principal.
