We are on the lookout for a dedicated and qualified Science Teacher to become a part of our team. The ideal applicant will be a native or fluent English speaker with a robust background in science education, experience with children, and the capability to design engaging, hands-on lessons focused on Project-Based Learning (PBL).
- Create and execute a science curriculum that highlights TBL and PBL, enabling students to relate scientific principles to real-life challenges and projects.
- Conduct engaging experiments and demonstrations to help students grasp scientific concepts in an exciting way.
- Cultivate a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity, teamwork, and critical thinking.
- Apply effective classroom management techniques to maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
- Assist students in conceptualizing and executing science projects that align with TBL and PBL principles, fostering creativity and problem-solving abilities.
- Evaluate and track student progress, offering constructive feedback while keeping accurate records of their development.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to integrate science into interdisciplinary projects and school activities.
- Organize and manage science fairs, exhibitions, and other events to highlight student achievements and advance the science program within the school community.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in science education, integrating them into teaching strategies.
- Engage in professional development opportunities and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the school.
Requirements:
- Native English speaker with outstanding communication abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science).
- Teaching certification or equivalent qualification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, PGCE) is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children, ideally in a teaching or educational context.
- Comprehensive knowledge of primary-level science topics and the ability to present them in an engaging and accessible manner for young learners.
- Experience in designing and executing PBL activities within the classroom.
- Proficiency in teaching science in an ESL environment, focusing on accessibility and engagement for non-native English speakers.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate young students.
- A genuine passion for science education and a desire to instill a love for inquiry and exploration in students.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
