About BASIS International School Shenzhen
Established in 2015, BASIS International School Shenzhen is the first school in our network. Initially located in a renovated building, the school relocated to a stunning new campus in 2023, designed to accommodate over 1,600 students from Pre-K to Grade 12. Our cutting-edge facilities support performing and visual arts, athletics, and sciences, complemented by beautiful outdoor spaces and gardens. As a Technology & Design teacher, you will inspire and nurture students' innate curiosity, introducing essential concepts starting from kindergarten. You will explore STEAM topics such as coding, 3D modeling, robotics, electrical engineering, multimedia, and productivity. Your teaching will focus on adopting a designer’s mindset to address real-world problems, helping students draw connections across subjects and apply their knowledge in various contexts. Collaboration with fellow educators will be key as you integrate ICT content with other disciplines, such as art and history.
In this role, you will also:
• Build meaningful relationships with each student to ensure a tailored and effective learning experience.
• Support students in their journey towards academic success, personal responsibility, and intellectual growth.
• Engage in continual professional development by participating in training opportunities, collaborating with peers, and keeping abreast of the latest educational strategies and best practices in your domain.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative school environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong ICT-CS competencies. A background in Technology/Design education is preferred, along with experience in block-based coding, 3D modeling software, robotics/electrical engineering, and productivity/multimedia tools.
Who We’re Looking For
• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).
• Experience: A minimum of two years as a lead teacher in a classroom, which is a requirement for obtaining a working visa.
