Primary Assistant Teacher
About This Role
The Primary Department at the English International College is in search of a teaching assistant who can inspire, motivate, and support students to reach their full potential.
We are looking for a dedicated individual to aid in the educational and social growth of students under the guidance of the Senior Leadership Team and classroom teachers. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable teaching small groups within the classroom and actively participate in weekly planning sessions. Additionally, the successful applicant must ensure that the students they assist remain engaged and focused during lessons or activities, fostering their independence as learners. A proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative in all tasks are essential.
Candidates should possess a relevant qualification and have experience in supporting phonics groups, emergent writing, and utilizing CPA apparatus in Mathematics.
You must be prepared to collaborate effectively within a team and be willing to undertake administrative responsibilities alongside classroom support.
The English International College is a British institution for students aged 3-18. We offer a British curriculum closely aligned with the UK National Curriculum, with certain modifications to suit our international context and values. Our school boasts an impressive academic record, frequently sending students to prestigious universities worldwide, including Oxford, Cambridge, and Imperial. We serve as a center for Cambridge International and Pearson Examinations.
