About This Role

Utilize various forms of inquiry, such as open, structured, and guided approaches, to spark students' curiosity and equip them with the skills necessary for constructing their own understanding, fostering independence as lifelong learners.

- Instruct on conceptual knowledge across and beyond subject disciplines to help students grasp complex ideas and overarching themes. Thoughtfully design questions, inquiries, and provocations that encourage conceptual understanding while linking content, skills, and concepts.

- Create contextualized, real-world learning experiences that allow students to process new information by relating it to their personal experiences (local context) and to the wider world (global context), fostering an international perspective.

- Collaboratively and intentionally plan ongoing interactive and cooperative learning experiences that promote effective dialogue and feedback, using data-driven insights to adaptively address students' diverse needs.

- Work alongside colleagues to accommodate student differences by enhancing self-esteem, valuing existing knowledge, scaffolding learning, and providing meaningful, respectful, and challenging tasks for all students.

- Organize and implement continuous assessment strategies in collaboration with learners and colleagues to monitor, document, measure, and report on student learning. Utilize “Assessment as and for Learning” data to inform adjustments in teaching and learning.

- Teach with a focus on approaches to learning by clearly identifying the skills and attitudes being developed. Explicitly instruct students in the strategies and techniques needed to process information, promoting the transfer of skills and self-regulation.

- Effectively incorporate technology to enrich students’ learning experiences. Reflect on the rationale behind technology use and ensure digital integrity is maintained.

- Support and enhance students’ language development by activating prior knowledge, building background understanding, scaffolding language acquisition, extending language capabilities, and affirming individual identities.

- Plan to enable students to internalize principles of sustainability and navigate complex systems, empowering them to initiate or advocate for actions that restore and sustain ecosystem health while promoting equity and envisioning a sustainable future.

- Engage actively in professional inquiry through methods such as PLCs, action research, workshops, study groups, critical friends, and data teams, aimed at continual reflection on practices for improved student learning.

- Reflect on and evaluate beliefs regarding professional responsibilities to act with integrity and transparency, foster connections and build learning communities, and honor and promote organizational, local, and global cultures.

Compensation

QAR 11,000 - QAR 14,000 per month (-Housing Allowance -Annual Ticket -Medical insurance)
