About This Role

Academic Director – Vin Nexus Center
For the special education professional eager to develop an innovative special needs curriculum framework.

If you:

Are deeply committed to designing curricula that cater to the unique profiles of each learner, rather than forcing learners to adapt.

View curriculum as a dynamic, holistic framework that empowers students with special needs to thrive, not merely survive.

Understand that sustainable impact hinges on robust academic structures - clear guidelines, consistent expectations, and integrated support systems.

…then Vin Nexus Center could be the ideal environment for you to make a significant difference.

Vin Nexus Center is a non-profit special needs school located in Vietnam, established by Vingroup, one of the country's largest corporations, through its social enterprise division. Our mission is to provide world-class, evidence-based education for students with ASD, ADHD, SLD, mild ID, and developmental delays through tailored curricula and personalized learning paths. We are currently seeking an Academic Director to lead the educational core of this mission: the curriculum, the classroom environments, and the professional culture that will support our students throughout their educational journeys.

We are looking for an Academic Director who:

Has considerable experience in special education, typically spanning 7-10 years or more, with a proven history in academic leadership, curriculum development, IEPs, and assessments for students with ASD, ID, and SLD.

Is inspired by the prospect of creating a pioneering special education model that is not yet fully realized in Vietnam, where curriculum, teaching practices, and assessments elevate the standard of quality in special education.

Places student wellbeing and individuality at the forefront, customizing academic objectives and support systems to align with each learner’s pace and profile.

Enjoys collaboration with teachers, finds fulfillment in coaching, observing, and nurturing them into a unified team that shares an educational philosophy for diverse learners.

In this role, you will:

Create, execute, and routinely assess the school’s special education programs, including adapted curriculum frameworks, IEP structures, and assessment methods that resonate with our students’ profiles.

Guide teachers through role assignments, pedagogical coaching, classroom observations, feedback, and structured professional development planning.

Ensure high-quality teaching and learning by establishing clear academic expectations, devising evaluation systems, and consistently tracking student progress across the institution.

Collaborate closely with the Clinical Services Director and therapeutic/intervention teams to successfully weave therapeutic objectives and strategies into classroom instruction, guaranteeing that students experience a cohesive learning journey.

What we provide

A compensation package that reflects the significance of your position - competitive and commensurate with your expertise, leadership, and the responsibility of developing a new kind of special education institution.

A mission-driven atmosphere where educators and clinicians unite with a shared objective: to support special needs learners in growing, belonging, and thriving over the long term.

A unique chance to contribute to the development of a high-impact special education school model that can generate lasting social value for children, families, and the broader educational community in Vietnam.

An opportunity to grow as a leader and innovator, backed by Vingroup and Vinschool’s extensive educational ecosystem.

Further information regarding compensation and benefits will be provided during the interview process.

If you are prepared to leverage your expertise to create a groundbreaking special education model in Vietnam, we invite you to join us at Vin Nexus Center and help shape a legacy that will redefine how children with special needs are educated, supported, and understood for years to come.
