ROLE SUMMARY:

King's College School, Cascais, a member of the esteemed Inspired Education Group, stands as a premier international school situated in the Lisbon region. We are currently in search of an enthusiastic and highly qualified Geography Teacher to become part of our Senior School. The successful applicant will create dynamic, concept-focused lessons that foster a robust understanding of geography, analytical reasoning, and global consciousness. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Deliver captivating and well-organized Geography lessons that cultivate strong geographical knowledge, critical thinking skills, and an understanding of global issues.


Design and execute high-quality schemes of work that align with the Cambridge curriculum and the standards of the school.


Evaluate, track, and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to facilitate academic growth.


Establish an inclusive, supportive, and inspiring learning environment that challenges and motivates all students.


Incorporate digital tools and resources to enhance learning, research, and geographical exploration.


Contribute to the pastoral care of students, promoting their overall well-being.


Work collaboratively with colleagues to exchange best practices and ensure curriculum consistency.


Engage in school events, field trips, clubs, and enrichment activities, becoming an integral part of the wider school community.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A recognized teaching qualification along with a degree in Geography or a closely related discipline.


Strong subject expertise and a genuine enthusiasm for Geography and global education.


Demonstrated excellent classroom practice with the ability to support and challenge students across all abilities.


Effective organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining high academic standards.


A positive, adaptable mindset and a willingness to embrace innovation and ongoing professional development.


Experience with Cambridge programs or international curricula is highly desirable.

Compensation
