Position Overview:

• Join a committed team of language educators teaching one of the following languages: Spanish, French, Japanese, or Chinese. Your schedule will primarily revolve around your area of expertise, covering a diverse age and ability range, including IB Standard and Higher Level courses.

• Conduct engaging lessons in the Middle Years Programme, the ab initio course in the IB Diploma Programme, and/or International GCSEs in the languages mentioned above.

• Leverage data on student performance to inform and enhance teaching methodologies and curriculum development.

• Foster positive relationships with students, peers, and the broader community to establish an inclusive learning atmosphere.

• Actively engage in professional learning communities within the Languages department, contributing constructively to shared goals and projects.

General Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Education or any subject along with a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE).

• Familiarity with the MYP and key aspects of the curriculum frameworks is beneficial.

• Open to newly qualified educators or those with teaching experience in a recognized educational institution.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment-only) does not meet the Teacher Registration status requirements from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, a vital criterion for teaching at an ESF school.

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
