About This Role

1. General Responsibilities
1.1 Curriculum Development & Delivery
Design and implement subject-specific courses that align with the educational aims of the school and adhere to international benchmarks (such as Cambridge, IB, or local curriculum frameworks).
Develop lesson plans that incorporate interactive activities, multimedia tools, and age-appropriate teaching strategies to captivate primary and secondary learners.

1.2 Classroom Management
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and honors cultural diversity.
Uphold school policies and behavioral standards, ensuring safety and concentration throughout lessons.

1.3 Student Assessment & Progress Tracking
Continuously assess students’ academic achievements, skill enhancement, and participation via quizzes, projects, presentations, or practical demonstrations.
Offer constructive feedback to students and their parents/guardians, recording progress in report cards or portfolios.

1.4 Cultural & Linguistic Support
Instruct content in English while modifying language complexity to match students’ proficiency, aiding them in developing subject-specific vocabulary.
Encourage cross-cultural awareness by integrating global perspectives into lessons.

2. Subject-Specific Responsibilities
2.1 Music Teacher
Instrumental/Vocal Instruction: Teach students how to play instruments (like piano, guitar, drums) or enhance their vocal abilities, depending on available school resources.
Music Theory & Appreciation: Introduce concepts such as notation, rhythm, and music history, utilizing a variety of genres (classical, jazz, world music) to expand students’ cultural understanding.
Performances & Events: Organize school concerts, musicals, or choirs, offering rehearsal support and building student confidence for public performances.

3. Collaboration & Professional Development
3.1 Team Collaboration
Collaborate with local educators to ensure lesson alignment with school-wide objectives, share teaching techniques, and assist bilingual students.
Engage in department meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school functions (such as open houses, cultural festivals).

3.2 Professional Growth
Participate in workshops or training opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
Stay updated on educational trends in your subject area (like new coding programs, environmental education initiatives).

3.3 Administrative Tasks
Timely submit lesson plans, student evaluations, and progress reports to school administration.
Keep precise records of student attendance, grades, and classroom supplies.
