Curriculum Overview
Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, adapted to reflect Qatar’s culture, heritage, and values. The school provides a continuous learning journey from Early Years through to Sixth Form, combining academic excellence with strong pastoral care and a focus on personal growth.
Across all stages, the DBS curriculum is designed to be relevant, rich, and challenging, blending academic rigour with leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.
Successful applicants must have
A recognised educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.
A certified teaching qualification such as a PGCE or QTS with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be supported by a subject-relevant bachelor’s degree).
Master’s degree in Education or a related field (preferred).
Leadership Qualifications: Advanced leadership training or qualifications such as NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership) or equivalent (desirable).
Exceptional subject knowledge, with extensive experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.
Minimum four years of teaching experience (international experience is an advantage but not required)
Experience teaching IGCSE, AS/A Level and International Baccalaureate (IB).
A proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
A strong commitment to contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities.

This role is scheduled to commence in September 2026; however, staff are expected to be in-country by mid-August for orientation and induction.
