About This Role
Inherited from 450 years of educational excellence at Harrow School in the UK, Asia International School Limited (AISL) boasts over 20 years of experience in the education sector, having established international schools in Bangkok (1998), Beijing (2005), Hong Kong (2012), and Shanghai (2016).
Harrow International School (HIS) and Harrow LiDe School Haikou represent a significant initiative for the Hainan government as it seeks to develop Haikou into an international education center. Harrow Haikou is the first prestigious educational institution in the province and aims to elevate the standards of quality education throughout the region.
Situated strategically in the Jiangdong District, at the intersection of Jiangdong Avenue and Linhai Third Road, Harrow Haikou offers K-12 international and bilingual education for both local and international day and boarding students. Both institutions commenced operations in September 2020.
We are looking for exceptional staff to fill positions starting in August 2025. Successful candidates will receive two-year renewable contracts that come with highly competitive employment terms and excellent working conditions.
We invite applications from educators in both the UK state and independent sectors, as well as those with international experience. There may also be opportunities to work with our boarding students.
Qualifications
- A relevant degree, along with a UK PGCE or another teaching qualification that provides QTS.
- A minimum of two years of teaching experience.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum of England, including IGCSE/GCSE and/or A Levels as applicable.
- A strong passion for teaching and a dedication to the holistic development of children.
- A high standard of professionalism and a commitment to the well-being of students.
- Recent and active participation in extracurricular activities.
- Respect for all members of the school community, regardless of their role, age, or ethnic background.
- Experience working with students for whom English is a second language.
- A positive, solution-oriented approach to professional life.
- A clean International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC) or police clearance (for applicants without previous UK experience) and no concerns regarding suitability to work with children.
