About This Role

St Philip’s School is a special school offering places for pupils aged 9 to 19 with a wide range of abilities and additional needs, including complex autism.

Located in the Royal Borough of Kingston, on a spacious green site in Chessington, the school is equipped with extensive indoor and outdoor sports facilities, vocational spaces, and a dedicated pupil support team offering a variety of therapies. We are proud to have recently opened a brand-new vocational block, expanding opportunities for students to develop practical skills in a modern, purpose-built environment.

Our small class sizes allow dedicated staff to support each pupil’s development at their own pace, whether they are following academic pathways or focusing on life skills.

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive EHCP & School Administrator to join our team. This is a vital role supporting the effective coordination, monitoring, and review of pupils’ Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring high-quality provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will also provide wider administrative support across the school, helping to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations within a busy school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of EHCP processes, including annual reviews, documentation, and compliance with statutory timelines.

  • Act as the main point of contact for EHCP-related matters, liaising with staff, parents, and external professionals.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date SEND and EHCP records, ensuring all files and data are organised and compliant.

  • Support the SENCo with SEND administration, reporting, and preparation of documentation for assessments and reviews.

  • Provide general administrative and office support, including reception duties, data management, and assisting with school-wide operational tasks.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting, with a strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes

  • Excellent organisational, administrative, and workload prioritisation skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

  • Confident communicator with staff, parents, and external professionals

  • Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and school MIS systems
