About the role

We are seeking a committed Teacher of Science to become part of Ballakermeen High School’s highly regarded Science Department. While a specialization in Chemistry is preferred, it is not mandatory. In 2025, our Science team celebrated their best-ever GCSE and A-level outcomes, with a remarkable 78% A*-C at GCSE and an average of 74% A*-B at A2. Although we take pride in these achievements, our focus remains on continuous enhancement.

The repayment is capped at £7,500 for a three-year degree or £10,000 for a four-year degree, according to the requirements outlined in the Teacher Loan Cancellation Policy.
• ✔ A subject shortage allowance of up to £500 per month for a maximum of 8 months is available if you secure a permanent position in a Maths, English, or Science teaching role (without TLR).
