About This Role

Avenor College is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Mathematics to join our faculty, teaching Mathematics from KS3 through to A Level. We encourage qualified Mathematics educators to apply, including Early Career Teachers interested in participating in our ECT programme.

Our college features state-of-the-art classrooms within a contemporary Senior building, providing an excellent setting for both teaching and learning. At the A Level, students will engage with the CAIE 9709 curriculum after completing the CAIE 0580 Mathematics syllabus. Our Key Stage 3 program includes a specialized Romanian national strand for a select group of students, while the majority follow the Cambridge checkpoint, culminating in an external examination at the end of Grade 8. The effectiveness of our Mathematics learning program is evident in students’ performance results and other indicators.

We seek candidates who possess the following qualifications:
• Strong and adaptable subject expertise to teach Mathematics across Middle School, IGCSE, and A Level effectively;
• Insight into student learning processes, with the ability to inspire and challenge students by creating an engaging learning environment;
• Contributions to curriculum improvement through the updating of schemes of work and the development of conceptually driven lesson plans;
• Proficiency in English;
• The capability to inspire trust and confidence among students, parents, and colleagues;
