The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to inspire our pupils. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistant to encourage children to achieve beyond their expectations.

Responsibilities

- Support the educational and social development of pupils in classes, small groups, and one-on-one settings.
- Assist pupils in learning as effectively as possible.
- Carry out specific tasks as directed by the SENDCo Lead and Class Teacher.
- Promote positive behavior in accordance with the school policy.
- Develop strategies to address the learning and pastoral needs of assigned pupils.
- Manage pupils according to guidance from Specialists, the SENDCo Lead, and Class Teacher.
- Implement specific duties outlined in EHCPs / Support Plans, such as interventions or as directed by the SENDCo Lead and Class Teacher.
- Foster acceptance and inclusion of pupils within the classroom environment.
- Aid pupils in achieving their best, both in group settings and individually, inside and outside the classroom, including booster groups and assisting with specific weaknesses, social interactions, and focus on completing work.
- Help adapt and locate differentiated materials to enable pupils to engage with the class curriculum.
- Collaborate effectively with the Teaching team and Learning Support team to enhance the overall quality of teaching and learning.
- Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils and their families.
- Employ techniques to promote and strengthen the pupils' self-esteem.
