ABC Private School in Abu Dhabi is a well-regarded and highly sought-after ENC School. We are seeking to hire EYFS teachers to enhance our current team for the upcoming academic year, as we are launching FS1 classes for the first time and increasing the number of classes in our FS2/Reception section due to remarkable demand.
In the 2024/25 academic year, there will be a total of 11 classes in the FS Section. Our resource-rich school features excellent facilities and serves around 2,500 students from FS1 to Year 13, representing over 16 nationalities in the upcoming academic year.
ABC relocated to its current premises in Al Shamkha, Abu Dhabi in 2016. The owners are dedicated to a continuous investment and improvement program aimed at achieving BSO accreditation within the next twelve months, which will allow us to offer ECT Statutory Induction in future years.
The Principal, Mrs. Allison McDonald, recently joined ABC from Al Basma British School, where she successfully elevated the school from satisfactory to very good, with numerous outstanding features during her nine-year tenure. A seasoned Principal in the UAE, she is committed to a holistic educational approach that nurtures each student's talents, sparks their curiosity, and fosters a passion for learning. Mrs. McDonald fully supports ABC's dedication to inclusivity and creating a nurturing environment that empowers students to explore, innovate, and thrive.
ABC adheres to the 2014 National Curriculum of England and the revised 2020 Development Matters Framework in EYFS. The school utilizes both GL CAT4 and GL Progress tests for students in Years 4 to 10. Additionally, a variety of GCSE, iGCSE, iAS, and iA Levels from Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel exam boards are offered to our older students. Starting in September 2024, we plan to introduce a range of BTEC qualifications to better tailor educational pathways for our students.
In February 2022, the school received a "good" rating in the ADEK inspection.

- An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Education, specializing in Primary or Early Years education, along with QTS or an equivalent qualification.

- An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any subject paired with an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Primary or Early Years education, and QTS or an equivalent.
or
- An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to Early Childhood Education with QTS or an equivalent.
OUR PACKAGE
Our compensation package for overseas UK qualified appointments includes:
- A two-year contract and visa (renewable)
