We are seeking a full-time Associate Teacher with a keen interest or expertise in integrating educational technology and/or STEM to join us for a three-month contract. This mentorship-focused role is intended to support educators who are early in their careers and aspire to full-time classroom positions in the future. The role provides an exceptional opportunity to develop crucial skills and experiences, providing a foundation for long-term success in teaching.

This position is particularly suitable for teachers in the early stages of their careers.

Responsibilities:
● Provide Teacher on Call (TOC) coverage from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7, including specialist areas such as Educational Technology Integration, Art, PE, and Music as appropriate
● Collaborate with classroom teachers in areas such as curriculum planning, differentiated instruction, and assessment
● Offer personalized instruction and learning support for individual students
● Supervise students during non-instructional periods
● Lead STEAM-based co-curricular clubs across primary and middle school divisions
● Participate in field trips, outdoor education, service projects, leadership development, and athletics
Requirements/Qualifications:
● B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification
● Strong understanding of educational technology practices and platforms (e.g., Makey Makey, Book Creator, green screens, Padlet, Puppet Pals, etc.) with a focus on fostering digital skills for students in grades 1-7
● Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
● Strong organizational and time-management skills
