We are seeking a dedicated full-time Associate Teacher to join our team on a one-year fixed-term contract, with the potential for an additional year. This mentorship-focused role is tailored for educators early in their careers who aspire to transition into full-time classroom teaching. The position provides a fantastic opportunity to develop essential skills and experiences, effectively preparing educators for long-term success in their profession.

Experience the joy of teaching in a vibrant kindergarten play-based program, primary classrooms emphasizing emergent reading, writing, and numeracy, project-based learning, or an inquiry-based intermediate program equipped with personal iPads. Additionally, engage with a distinct middle school curriculum that caters to the unique developmental needs of preadolescent girls as they transition to high school. This opportunity is particularly suited for teachers within the first three years of their careers.

Responsibilities:
β Provide Teacher on Call (TOC) coverage from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7, including specialist subjects such as French, Art, PE, and Music as required
β Work alongside classroom teachers to assist in areas like curriculum planning, differentiated instruction, and assessment
β Offer personalized instruction and learning support to individual students
β Supervise students during non-instructional periods
β Engage in co-curricular activities and clubs each term, including choir, debating, cooking, public speaking, coding, and musical theatre
β Participate in field trips, outdoor education, service projects, leadership development, and athletics
Requirements/Qualifications:
β B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification
β Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
β Strong organizational and time-management skills
β A commitment to teaching the whole child
β Collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic mindset
